I have discovered a beautiful book during my afore-mentioned trip to Bookman's. It is called Centuries, or alternately, Centuries of Meditations.

The "centuries" refers to the fact that there are small paragraphs of thoughts in groups of 100.

This is beautiful stuff, and how dare we read modern books, shallow and full of vanities, before we read these ancient beauties.
